| Astaro adds network analysis tools and reporting to security products |

Open Source-based security company Astaro today announced that it has entered into an OEM licensing agreement with eIQnetworks, a provider of security, applications and systems analytics solutions.
Astaro will resell eIQnetwork’s browser-based FirewallAnalyzer tool that provides Firewall/VPN analysis and reporting. Astaro expects that the software will help customers gather and analyze security event information generated from Astaro network security products.
FirewallAnalyzer allows administrators to analyze security breaches, network usage patterns, and to determine the source and severity of system threats.
Massachusetts-based Astaro bases their software on over 60 Open Source projects combined with the company's proprietary integration and update service. Astaro Security Linux targets midsized to large businesses and offers a firewall, VPN gateway, intrusion protection, virus protection, spam protection, and URL filtering.
