| Novell VP's view of Linux desktop inroads |

SearchEnterpriseLinux hosts an interview with Novell's VP Product development and former founder of Ximian, Nat Friedman. Friedman discusses the uptake of the Linux desktop in the market and comments "a day doesn't go by when I don't talk to a Fortune 1000 customer from the financial services market, automotives or others that are not looking at dipping their feet into the Linux desktop." While Friedman admits the TCO data is not there today for the desktop, but expects to see it at the end of year.
