The increased interest open source is fueling the demand for Linux training, according to UK-based international technology training group, Azlan.
With IDC forecasting an installed base of 35 percent of servers and 7 percent of desktops running Linux by 2006, training and certification programs for Linux have beem increasing worldwide.
Last month Azlan added additional training courses for Novell Linux related technologies.
In a statement, Azlan's Nick Dean, European Professional Services Director said the company has seen a marked rise in demand for Linux courses and noted "We're already seeing strong bookings on scheduled courses and as Novell continues to move its strategy in this direction, we expect to see most of them filled to capacity throughout the year."
Azlan is one of Europe's largest independent network training companies. The company has dedicated training centres in 13 countries. The group teaches courses from leading vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, Enterasys, and RSA Security as part of their catalog and reports more than 200 trainers on staff.
