| French police embrace Firefox, Thunderbird |

Forbes reported Monday that the French police force and its 70,000 desktop computers are replacing Microsoft's Internet Explorer with Mozilla's Firefox, and the Outlook email client with Thunderbird, in what the publication dubs "The Freedom Revolution."
"The Freedom Revolution, you could call it -- if you're a politically correct U.S. patriot," writes Forbes editor Chris Noon. "Yet it's been a non-violent, bloodless radical change over in France ... to Firefox and its e-mail client Thunderbird, because of the navigator's 'reliability, security and inter-operability with other state services.'"
