Piotr Gridniew, author of PG Calculator, has announced the release of a scientific calculator for Linux desktops. The calculator's user interface is fully customizable and additional "skins" are available.

PG Calculator works in Algebraic and RPN modes. It recognizes real and complex numbers, and allows vectors manipulations. There are up to 120 units of measure with possibility to make conversions between consistent units (built-in Unit Converter). The calculator supports the input of binary, octal, hexadecimal and exponential number formats and up to 80 build-in functions: algebraic, trigonometry, hyperbolic, logical, numbers format conventions, units of measure conversions and statistical.
A list of commonly used mathematic, physic and chemical constants is available and simple financial calculations are possible with a built-in Time Value of Money Solver.
