OSNews offers an introduction to IceWM, a lightweight window manager for Linux/Unix. While offering fewer features than the Gnome and KDE desktops, according to the author, IceWM does provide a good user experience. The overview features tips and tricks, how to use it, and highlights of IceWM's features and capabilities. The default IceWM environment resembles Windows 95, but customization is not a challenge with hundreds of themes available online.
