Scalix unveils email platform for Linux
Jul. 29, 2003

Scalix Corporation (San Mateo, Calif.) announced the availability of its standards-based email and calendaring platform for Linux. The software is based on Hewlett-Packard Co.'s OpenMail technology, which Scalix has licensed and ported to Linux.

Announced products for the enterprise include Scalix Server, Scalix Connect for Microsoft Outlook, and Scalix Web Access. According to Scalix, they are providing a reliable solution that scales for less than half of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of existing solutions.

The company's products interoperate with existing messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange and supports Red Hat Linux and Advanced Server.
